Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and FIELD Studio (“FIELD”, “we”, “us”) for the FIELD mobile application, website and related services. By creating an account or using FIELD, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.
You must be legally able to enter this agreement and meet the minimum digital-consent age in your country. If you use FIELD for an organisation, you confirm you may bind it to these terms.
Using FIELD
FIELD gives you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the app on supported devices for private and lawful purposes. FIELD and its visual system, software, brand, templates and service content remain owned by us or our licensors.
You are responsible for access to your email account, the security of your device and the accuracy of information you submit. Because FIELD is local-first, you are also responsible for exporting memories you want to preserve before deleting the app, resetting a device or changing phones.
We may update the app, add or remove features, change regional availability or end support for older operating-system versions. Features that require network providers may occasionally be unavailable.
Your photographs and AI output
You keep ownership of photographs, messages and other content you submit. You grant FIELD and its service providers a limited licence to host, transform, reproduce and transmit that content only as needed to provide the requested feature, such as creating an impression, exporting a field note or printing and delivering a postcard.
You confirm that you have permission to use the content and that creating or sending it does not infringe privacy, copyright, publicity or other rights. Generated place details, keywords and artwork may be incomplete or inaccurate. You must review the composition, message and address before sharing or purchasing.
AI output may not be unique in a legal sense and similar elements can appear in output made for other people. FIELD does not promise that output can be registered or used as a trademark.
Physical postcard orders
Prices, taxes, delivery estimates, supported destinations and the final order total are shown before you pay. Placing an order authorises FIELD and its payment and fulfillment partners to charge the selected method and produce the postcard from your approved files.
Printing may begin soon after purchase. Changes and cancellations are therefore not guaranteed once an order has entered production. If a postcard arrives damaged, is materially misprinted or does not arrive within a reasonable period after the estimated window, contact support with the order reference. We will assess a reprint or refund under applicable consumer law and the circumstances of the order.
Postal delivery dates are estimates. Customs, local postal disruptions, incomplete addresses and events outside our control can delay or prevent delivery. We may decline or refund an order that cannot be fulfilled, violates postal rules or contains prohibited material.
Purchases made through Apple or Google may also be subject to the store’s payment and refund terms.
Acceptable use
Do not use FIELD to:
- create or send unlawful, threatening, exploitative, abusive, deceptive or privacy-invasive content;
- use another person’s image or address without an appropriate basis or permission;
- infringe intellectual-property or personality rights;
- send spam, harassment or material prohibited by postal or sanctions rules;
- bypass safeguards, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, introduce malware, scrape the service or interfere with other users; or
- use FIELD output to make high-impact decisions or misrepresent it as verified fact.
We may block generation or fulfillment, preserve evidence, suspend an account or report conduct where reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance or service integrity.
Warranties and liability
FIELD is provided with reasonable care but, to the extent the law permits, without a promise that every feature will be uninterrupted, error-free or available in every region. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
To the extent permitted by law, FIELD is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss, lost profits, losses caused by inaccurate user input, deletion of unexported local data, postal delays outside our control or use contrary to these terms. Our aggregate liability for a paid postcard order will not exceed the greater of the amount paid for the affected order or the minimum amount required by applicable law.
Ending use, changes and disputes
You may stop using FIELD and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access where you materially breach these terms, create risk for others, or where the service is discontinued. Provisions that naturally continue—such as ownership, completed payment obligations and liability limitations—survive.
We may update these terms to reflect new features, providers or legal duties. Material changes will be communicated reasonably before they take effect where required. The laws and courts of the place where FIELD Studio is established apply, unless mandatory law in your place of residence gives you another forum or protection.
